What is fun about translation / my job: This job always keeps you alert. Even after years of experience there is always something that comes as a surprise. Sometimes you get to translate about things you did not even know that they exist. Often you feel as a part of something big and important. And always this job is about the people – meeting new people, serving the team and the clients, communicating with the people and to the people.
What I love about my job: I love the chemistry that happens after my job is done.

My job: Chief Accountant, Founding Partner. I am new to this team and I am not knowledgeable in all the intricacies of the translation job, but I have immediately felt a natural part of the team and I like growing together with them.
What I love about my job: I like helping people, my job gives me pleasure and helps me develop, as working on an international market requires knowledge of all the new developments and requirements as to the IFRS and the specific requirements to cooperation with clients from different countries.

Something funny about translation: Unfortunately, the funniest things about translation tend to stay secret due to compliance with non-disclosure and confidentiality clauses.
What I love about my job: I like my job because it always makes me learn something new – whether a new CAT tool, a new topic or some new information. As for me, my job is challenging. Every day we have to solve problems related to untranslatability or translation of newly invented products that have no equivalent in my native languages, dealing with marketing and advertising translation and transcreation, browsing through a number of dictionaries to find a specific narrow-field term to fit it in a certain context, and this requires creative thinking and inventiveness, and sometimes even translator’s intuition. I also like my profession, because one may try doing a lot of different things – be a translator, a proofreader, a copywriter, a project manager, a glossary compiler, a QA specialist, a tester, a linguistic expert, a transcriber, a stylistic editor – within any language pairs you work with. Such role switching helps you learn how to concentrate on different assignments, manage your time in a right way and boost your self-discipline. Another thing I like about my job is that we have always something to talk about with my colleagues, all of them have very interesting personalities, we have always something to share with each other, give some advice or just work in accord on some project.

Something funny about translation/my job: when all people get asleep I sometimes wake up to finish my translation to avoid the distracting factors in the face of my relatives and their everyday needs.
What I love about my job: I love translation for a high self-satisfaction level: when you work upon some tough project and you can’t find the solution at once but after some time when you come back to your task again and again you finally find the necessary word/expression and when you read the final version of yours it seems to you just perfect and your customer is satisfied as well – this is the best reward of all.
